A big name in high quality automotive services
ABOUT
Since 1974, The Little Garage has been the premier automotive shop specializing in German vehicles, particularly BMWs, in the New York Metropolitan area.
Led by owner Matthew Meng, our team listens to your needs, communicates throughout the process, and uses decades of combined experience to ensure a responsive, personalized experience.
As a Bosch Authorized Service Center, our specialists maintain expert up-to-date product knowledge and technical skills by participating in training provided by the Robert Bosch Corporation Training Department, as well as the New York State Automotive Technician Training Program. We have access to the most advanced automotive parts, the most in-depth knowledge to diagnose hard to find problems, and general maintenance suggestions to ensure the highest level of care, even for the most complex vehicles.
All About Quality
“After I listen to the customer explain issues they have with their vehicle, I personally road test each car to pick up any nuisances the customer may not be aware of to further understand the concerns.
Our team of technicians and I independently determine the needs of the car and come together to develop a strategy to correct the problem. The car is then fully road tested.”

Over 50 Years of The Little Garage History
“Little did I know that after having purchased my fist BMW, a 1972 Bavaria, I would own The Little Garage! Although I have never changed the oil in any of my cars, because I have no interest, I have always been fascinated with the way things work.
I became a loyal follower of Karl Topp, the original founder of The Little Garage, who first opened shop in Woodside, Queens in 1974. As I learned how to care for my Bavaria from Karl, he took an interest in hiring me. It took a few years before I began working at the shop in 1980. I gained insight into the garage business and eventually purchased The Little Garage in 1987.
In 2000, I opened a second location in Huntington. Then in 2004, I closed the Queens location to be closer to my home and to focus solely on the Huntington location. Owners of Audis, BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche still travel to Long Island from the five boroughs and beyond.
Today, The Little Garage is the result of my determination to get things done efficiently and correctly. As a result, thousands of satisfied happy customers have driven their vehicles out with confidence.
Whether caring for your car or preserving the environment, there is value in maintaining and protecting what you have. With proper care and maintenance, you can extend the life of your vehicle.
24/7, I will answer your call at (516) 606-8053, or send me an email at info@littlegarage.com. Whether it’s vintage, classic, or the newest model available, you can stop by The Little Garage, my team and I will take care of you and your vehicle.” — Matthew T. Meng
